I lived at No 18 Longsight St from 1950 to approx 1962.Derek&Bill lived next door with their mum & dad Edith & Bill.(AUNTY EADY) To all the children around their a very lovely lady ,and special to us all.I lived their with Dave my big brother &DAD Henry,MAM May.Great times.Moved to N Reddish,could'nt beleive it some tim later aunt Eady moved to same Rd as us.Moved to Leeds 11yr ago,after bringing up Nicola&Lee, in S Reddish&Heaton Chapel.I went to St Marys Heaton Norris&St Annes Heaton Chapel. Actually think the Mr Garrity photo is more like 1962. I am older than 4 on that picture.

Eddie, not sure if you remember my family, we lived at 24 Longsight Street next to Huxley's corner shop. I spoke to my mum and dad the other day, they are both in their nineties and they remember your mum (May) and dad (Henry). I vaguely remember you but you may remember my older brother Roy, step brother and sister Laurie and Beryl Taylor. I am sure Beryl would know you, do you have an older brother.
I remember a lad called David Sharrocks who lived near me with his mum who I think was called Ida, do you remember him? Phil Littlewood.
I do remember walking along the ledge and taking the empty soda syphons and also bottles from the wagons.
I remember having to go back along the ledge after losing some of the bottles in the river! Happy Days........
